{"id":294,"date":"2024-07-28T16:47:41","date_gmt":"2024-07-28T16:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maddox.pro\/?p=294"},"modified":"2024-07-28T16:47:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-28T16:47:41","slug":"synth-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maddox.pro\/?p=294","title":{"rendered":"Synth updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Things have been getting a little better of late and I&#8217;ve got some of my mojo back, some.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, I&#8217;ve been working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islainstruments.com\/\">Isla Instruments<\/a> on their Caladan synth, specifically the OPL3 card for it, this uses a bunch of new old stock YMF262 4 op FM chips and a multimode VCF and VCA. It will still sound awesome. Anyway, aside from one mod wire and a couple of resistor value changes it works a treat. It&#8217;s a bit daunting in all honesty, but equally I&#8217;m looking forward to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve also been working on a keyboard scanner PCB which works with the Fatar poly after-touch beds, the 5 octave one.
